Before you travel, check this
- Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date: many countries require it.
- Carry your return or onward ticket, plus proof of accommodation and funds: immigration can ask for them even if you don't need a visa.
- Get travel insurance: it's mandatory in some destinations and recommended everywhere.
- The European Union plans to require an electronic authorization (ETIAS) from travelers who currently enter visa-free: check whether it's in force when you travel.
