Terms of use
Last updated:
By using TripBudget you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.
1. What TripBudget is
TripBudget is a search tool that helps you plan trips around your budget: it shows reference flight prices, hotel estimates, general visa information and links to book on third-party sites. TripBudget is not a travel agency, doesn't sell tickets or bookings, and doesn't charge its users.
2. Prices
Flight prices come from external providers and may be from recent searches rather than live. Hotel prices are estimates. All prices change constantly and may stop being available. The final price and booking conditions are set by the site where you book.
3. Visas and entry requirements
Visa information is for guidance only, comes from Passport Index and may be out of date. It isn't immigration advice. Before you travel, confirm the requirements with the official authorities of your destination and of any country where you connect. Entry to a country is always decided by its immigration authorities.
4. Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links (for example, Aviasales and Klook, through Travelpayouts): if you book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions don't change the order of results, which are sorted by price and budget.
5. Your account
You need an account to create alerts, and you must be 18 or older to have one. Use a real email address and keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens with your account. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing contacto@tripbudgetapp.com.
6. Acceptable use
- Don't use TripBudget for illegal purposes or to try to access systems or data without permission.
- Don't run large automated searches (scraping) or overload the service. There is an hourly search limit.
- Don't impersonate anyone else.
We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.
7. Intellectual property and copyright
The design, texts, logo and TripBudget brand are ours. Some data comes from third parties and is used under their licenses: visa data from Passport Index (passport-index-dataset, MIT license), exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API, and prices from our flight providers. Destination and blog photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licenses: each one shows its author, its license and a link to the original.
If you believe we published something of yours without permission or without proper credit, email us at contacto@tripbudgetapp.com with:
- Your name and contact details.
- The copyrighted work (for example, a link to the original photo).
- The address (URL) of the TripBudget page where it appears.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you own the rights or are acting on the owner's behalf, with your signature (it can be electronic).
We review every notice and, where appropriate, remove or correct the content. If you hold rights in the United States, you can use this same procedure to send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
8. Liability
TripBudget is provided as is, with no guarantee that the information is accurate, complete or up to date. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made based on the site's information, for price or availability changes, for problems with bookings made on third-party sites, or for being denied entry to a country. None of this limits your rights as a consumer under the law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its date.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia. Any dispute will be resolved before the courts of Bogotá, without prejudice to the consumer protection rights you have in your own country.
